LOOKS:

Ace is very tall and thin. He's 6'2 and extremely underweight. He frequently forgets to eat because he's so busy on the computer. He has the body of a larger man- broad shoulders, long torso- but he's extremely overweight. This makes him look extremely awkward- like his skin is just a little bit too tight a fit for his own body. He almost looks scary- dead- like a ghost. He has large bags under his eyes from lack of sleep, and terrible posture.

He has greasy, red hair that looks like it hasnt been washed or cut in ages. Truthfully, it probably hasn't been. His face is dirty and greasy as well. It's peppered in acne and freckles. He has large bags under his bright green eyes. His eyes might be the only attractive thing about him. His nose looks like it was stuck on to his face without much consideration- it looks like a bird's beak and is much too big for his face. His eyes are too small, but are magnified to an okay size when he's wearing his thick, wirey glasses. His lips are thin and look like they're barely present on his face. He has never been able to grow facial hair.

He doesn't bathe much- largely because he has a hard time standing for a long time in the shower due to how malnourished he keeps himself. When he does shower, though, he has a hard time washing his hair and his body. Even when he's fresh out of the shower, he still is dirty. His clothing is much too big for him. He usually wears a white button up, light brown suspenders to keep up his pants, a pair of wrinkled khakis and black converse with high socks. There is little variety to his outfits. He does not keep himself looking nice at all- he doesn't care.

Ace enjoys being alone. He also enjoys the company of others from time to time. He's very conflicted on what he likes and dislikes when it comes to socializing. He also enjoys math and science. His favorite thing to do is math- he does it in his spare times. He doesn't tell that to a lot of people- it took his therapist a year and a half to find out how much Ace enjoys math. He also enjoys spending time on the computer. He loves online messaging boards like Reddit. He feels like he belongs there. He loves his mom.

DISLIKES:

Ace dislikes it when people insult him and are mean to him, most of all. Despite this, he still treats them in ways that cause them to insult him in the first place. He doesn't like not being able to express his thoughts. He's really frustated by the fact that he has so many magnificent thoughts in his head, but that he can't explain what he's thinking or apply it in a way that would help the people around him.

STRENGTHS:

Ace is extremely smart. Most of his strength comes from his intelligence. He is also an extremely good trainer, coming from Pokemon Tech. He has a lot of experience and knows many strategies right down from the textbook.

WEAKNESSES:

Ace is extremely weak emotionally. He cries a lot, and he has frequent panic attacks. He also has a terrible attitude, which makes not many people like him. He's impulsive and hot-headed. Not to mention he is conventionally unattractive, right down to the textbook definition.

GOALS:

He wants to overcome his fear and become a Pokemon professor or the Pokemon champion.

FEARS:

Ace used to have an extreme fear of going outside. Although he's mostly over it, he still has anxiety attacks at times. He also is afraid of people making fun of him and talking about him behind his back. He's afraid of making friends who are fake and only want to hurt him in the end, and so he is wary around practically everyone. Both of these fears stem(med) from extreme bullying as a child. Unrelated, but he is "triggered" and has bad panic attacks at the mention of his birth name; he was traumatized when his mother disowned and abandoned him.

SECRETS:

Ace keeps the fact that he was a wanted criminal and cyberterrorist a secret from everyone. Apart from the people who still remember the incident and remember his face, he keeps that secret pretty well. He never tells anybody about his past and the intense bullying he went through, though.

PERSONALITY:

Ace is extremely wary around people. He greets people, usually, with biting insults and a terrible attitude. He does this to establish a fake sense of superiority; not to mention that the people who bullied him the most in school had the most friends. Despite the fact that he talks big and puts himself up on a pedestal, calling himself things such as "the king" and "the creator", hes very fragile and can be taken down in one blow. Although he responds to many petty insults with nonchalant "Whatever" and "Fuck off"s, he cries when an issue even slightly sensitive to him is brought up. When threatened into being nicer, he'll act nice for a bit, but once that person leaves, the facade is gone.

Deep down, he doesn't know how to act properly. Despite being a grown adult and out of therapy, he still doesn't understand proper social interaction. He doesn't know how to make friends- he's only ever known violence and meanness. He'd like to make friends, but he's incapable of doing so. The want to make friends and the desire to push everyone away also plagues him. His actions sometimes seem illogical and out of place because he doesn't really know what he wants or how to get what he thinks he wants, either.

He is extremely smart. Most definitely one of the smartest people in the world. He is held back by his insecurity and his impulsivity. He can never be successful- he's too busy being angry and working on destructive projects. He's not creative, either- he can't channel his intelligence into doing something beautiful, wonderful and helpful because he can't think of something beautiful, wonderful and/or helpful. He doesn't really know how to do something like that, either. He's not entirely sure what he could do that would help the world. He is extremely good and math and science, but has a hard time writing and expressing what he finds when studying math and science, so he cant really help the science or math fields that much by providing research papers with new facts about the working world.

HISTORY:

Cyrus James Bohner was born to Lydia Grace and James Alexander Bohner on a stormy night one August in Lumiose City. From the very moment he was introduced into the world, he was a problem. Up until the age of three, all he would do is cry. Even then on, he was very sensitive. Despite being sensitive and extremely shy, he was kind. Always offering other children his toys and comforting them when he was sad. Up until kindergarten, this happy-go-lucky personality remained.

When he entered a special private kindergarten for soon-to-be-Pokemon-prodigies, he was ostracized. He was dorky, much too smart for his age and was about as attractive as a Garbodor. Children didn't take too well to the kid plastered in acne at age six trying to socialize with them. He was teased relentlessly, all throughout school. All while this cruel ostracizion occurred, he found himself lost in books. He hated fiction and preferred reading about the real and the concrete. He had expressed much interest in technology. He also built up a cruel wall to all of the teasing. Any time anyone tried to interact with him, he responded with pure cruelty. He didn't want to stick around and wait for whatever cruelty they'd give to him.

As time went on, he completely isolated himself. He'd lock himself in his room and refuse to come out because he was so afraid that if he went out, people would make fun of him. This fear soon turned into a full on phobia. He refused to leave him room. His mother, being kind and nurturing, didn't want to make her poor child face a world he wasn't ready for, and so she fostered his phobia. By age 10, he refused to leave the house. His mother got him a few Pokemon companions. He spent most of his time on the internet, going by the name Ace and trolling boards, and taking care of his Pokemon.

Being one of the smartest children in the world (and one of the children with the most time in the world), Ace mastered the art of the computer. After a fight with a good friend who lived across the world, Ace did something extreme- took the power out in an entire city. This made him a real cyberterrorist. Warrants were out for his arrest, and he was only fourteen years old. His mother turned him in, disowning him in the process, and they made a deal with the officers- he goes through intensive therapy, a rehabilitation program and continues schooling, and he gets off scott-free when he is capable of doing so.

And so, Ace attended Pokemon Tech at the age of fourteen- he was, perhaps, one of the youngest students to ever attend. Upon graduating just as he turned eighteen, he qualified for the Pokemon League (as upon graduating Pokemon Tech, you're allowed to.) Instead of taking it head-on, he decided to wait until he could conquer his fears. After two years of intensive psychiatry work and therapy, he overcame his anxieties. His therapist suggest he try going to a new place and getting a fresh start, away from his bad reputation and all of the terrible things in his past. Soon, he got a one way flight to the Avana region, left his old Pokemon at home and began on his way.

Although he wasn't completely rehabilitated in terms of his attitude, his agoraphobia had gone away (mostly) and he was ready to face the world.
