"Bye Mom! Bye Dad!" A cheery voice called out through a small house before a door closed with a excited slam. "Come out guys!" The same voice called out as the girl who the voice belonged to threw four pokeballs into the air. Out of the four pokeballs came a Fennekin, Torchic, Snivy, and Piplup. "You guys ready? Its time to finally start our adventure!" She excitedly smiled and lead the way as her four companions gave excited cries and followed their trainer.
It wasn't too long of a walk as the girl finally arrived to the center of town to the lab where she would be a new companion. She took a deep breath before entering the building. "Hello~!" She called out before continuing, "I'm Roselynn Grove, and I'm here to get my starter pokemon for the region." She then folded her arms properly behind her back and waited for someone to help her.

"One moment please!" A singsong voice called from the back room, shortly before a woman with flowing brown hair and a long white lab coat came out carrying a clipboard. She greeted the trainer with a smile, and then reached out her hand for a handshake. "Pleased to meet you, Roselynn, I'm Professor Zelkova." The professor then glanced down at her clipboard. "Let's see, here to pick your starter, hm? You have two options, you can either choose any starter from another region, or you may let fate decide your new partner and be assigned a random Pokemon from the National Pokedex." Once she had finished speaking, the professor looked up from her clipboard and waited for Roselynn to make her decision.

Roselynn stood at a sort of attention when she had heard the female professors voice. When the professor came out, she relaxed a little as the professor approached her. She smiled back, and when Zelkova held her hand to be shook, Roselynn took the handshake. She listened as the Professor explained her choices. Well, I'd like to finish getting my favorite starters but from what Mom and Dad have told me I can just find them on the routes like they did with the ones that they gave me. But it seems like a cool idea to get a random Pokemon. She thought as she pondered her options for a moment.
Finally, she made her choice. "I'd like to get a random pokemon, please." Roselynn smiled to the Professor, happy with her final choice.

"A great choice," Professor Zelkova nodded with a smile. She turned and headed over to the computer, then hit a few keys after consulting her clipboard. After starting up the correct program, the professor stepped away from the computer to allow Roselynn to watch. > Removing legendary Pokemon from pool.
> Allowing evolved stages of Pokemon to pool.
> Starting selection from pool.[ The screen shows silhouetted forms of Pokemon ] [ The screen rests on a silhouette ] > Selection is an evolved stage.
> Setting to a previous stage.
> Final selection.
> Unveiling selection.
> Aron (#304).
> Printing statistics.
> Sending Pokeball.
> Thank you. With a quick noise a compartment opened up near the PC, revealing a Pokeball. The professor strolled over to it and took the new Pokeball in her hand before handing it to Roselynn with another friendly smile. "Here is your new Pokemon. Be sure to take good care of it, and I'm sure the two of you will become the best of friends." The professor then headed over to a nearby table where she began to pack a few starting supplies into a box. Roselynn watched as the professor booted up the computer program that would give her, her new partner. As the computer went through the pokemon, Roselynns excitement grew more and more. When the dark images finally stopped, Roselynns heart joyfully skipped beat at the thought of finally getting a partner herself rather from her parents; she saw that it was an Aron and smiled as Professor Zelkova handed her the pokeball that housed her new companion. "Thank you so much. I'll take the best care of him and I hope that me and him do become the best of friends." she said as she smiled as she looked from the pokeball to the professor for a moment and then the ball again as she started thinking of names for him. I think I'll name you Benipe she thought as she made a decision on the name.
She turned to the professor after she finally reminded herself to put herself back into reality so that she could continue on with what the professor was too do next.

Professor Zelkova eventually finished putting together the package, and then carried it over to Roselynn. "What I have here is a collection of supplies to get you started. Pokeballs, potions, the usual; and a map and Pokedex as well. They'll come in handy." The professor held out the package with a smile. "I wish you luck on your journey."You have received:  Starter Parcel Pokeball (x5)  Potion (x5)  Antidote (x5)  Repel (x2)  Region Map  Pokedex  150 Drackles [ This character can now post on Route 1 and participate in events. ] |

"Thank you." Roselynn said as she took the package from Zelkova. She opened the box, took the items, neatly organized the items into her bag. When she was done with the items, she returned her Pokemon to their pokeballs and put the pokeballs onto her belt. She turned to the exit of the laboratory, and before she went out the door she turned back to the Professor, bowed and said "Again thank you so much for helping me!"
With that Roselynn turned back to the door and went out excitedly, ready to start her adventure with her new team of friends.
